The Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) is an online document which is issued by the University via the UKVI. It contains some of your personal details as well as details of the course you are applying for the Student Visa to cover.
You need a valid CAS to apply for a Student visa. A CAS is only valid for use before the expiry date stated on it - make sure your CAS does not expire before the date you will submit the Student Visa application form.
Check the details on your CAS when you receive this from Admissions - ensure your CAS details are correct before you submit the Student Visa application form. If any details need to be amended you need to contact Admissions directly to request this.
Please note: If you have paid tuition fees or accommodation fees to UoG after the CAS was issued, and your CAS does not show the correct amount paid as a result, see the information here.
If you have any CAS related queries or requests for updates please contact Admissions. We understand Admissions will issue the CAS to you via e-mail after you have accepted your unconditional offer and completed any required actions on Applicant Self Service.
You should expect to receive your CAS from Admissions by e-mail, once you have accepted your unconditional offer and uploaded all documents relating to meeting the entry requirements for your course.
The CAS will usually be issued by Admissions via e-mail within the 3 months before your visa expiry date if you are applying for a Student visa in the UK, or within the 6 months before your course start date where you will be applying for a Student visa outside the UK.
Ask for a "CAS Request Form" and submit this via the contact relevant to your studies shown below, depending on the College for your course at UoG. You should request a CAS around 3 months before your visa expires - this allows time for the College to liaise with Admissions about your CAS request. The CAS will be issued by Admissions via e-mail up to a maximum of 3 months before your visa expiry date where you will be applying for your Student Visa in the UK.
Please note: If you are eligible to apply for your Student Visa in the UK make sure you state this and your visa expiry date when e-mailing to request a CAS. You must submit a Student Visa application on or before your current visa expires when applying in the UK, so you need to make sure you request the CAS and receive this in time to do so. Contact your College (as below) and Admissions directly with any queries about your CAS request:
UKVI say you must provide evidence of the amount of tuition fees you have paid to University of Glasgow at the time you apply for the Student Visa as part of demonstrating that you meet the maintenance requirements.
Tuition fees paid after the CAS has been issued will not be shown on, or added to, your CAS. You will need to prepare tuition fees receipts from University of Glasgow as evidence of any amount of tuition fees you have paid not shown on your CAS.

Rolling Admission.

The University of Miami Herbert Business School welcomes applications from individuals that have earned or are in the process of earning an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university. The Admission Committee assesses each candidate on a number of dimensions including academic performance and professional leadership experience. We seek students with the intellectual and interpersonal abilities to contribute to the classroom experience, to excel academically, and who possess the leadership potential to succeed.
The personal statement is a chance for the admission committee to get to know you, your experience and goals, and what you may bring to the program. A personal statement prompt and supplemental essay prompt are provided within the application to help guide you.
Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded within the BusinessCAS application in order to expedite the review process. However, official transcripts from all post-secondary attended are required for enrollment.
Many full-time graduate business programs will require a GMAT or GRE score for admission. However, this may be submitted after your application is received. The committee may also consider requests to waive the test requirement on a case-by-case basis. Doctoral Programs do not consider waivers. Programs that do not require the GMAT or GRE include all Executive MBA programs, the Professional MBA, the Master of Science in Leadership, and the Master of International Business.
The number of recommendations required may vary depending on the program in which you are applying. You will find this information listed within the Program Materials section of the BusinessCAS application. Recommendations are used as a gauge of your academic and professional achievements and managerial and leadership potential.
The following supplemental materials may be required for international candidates. Please review the complete details of these requirements within the Program Materials section and contact your enrollment advisor if you have questions.
International applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit an English language proficiency score report. This requirement may be waived for individuals that have earned a degree in a country where the official language is English. Miami Herbert accepts the following exams:

Like all our pre-licensure pathways, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through the Upper Division nursing pathway provides graduates with the career opportunities of a registered nurse. The degree enables graduates to take the NCLEX-RN nurse licensure examination, and graduates of our program consistently exceed state and national averages in first-attempt pass rates.
This program has been certified as a Global Pathway. A Global Pathway is an undergraduate pathway or degree program that has significant global content and aligns with the goals of USF's Quality Enhancement Plan, the Global Citizens Project. Global Pathways provide students with the opportunity to practice and apply global competencies through the pathway or degree program. Students in Global Pathway programs are well positioned to earn the Global Citizen Award and become eligible to apply for a study abroad scholarship offered by the Global Citizens Project.
The Upper Division nursing pathway is our traditional nursing pathway for students who have completed nursing prerequisite courses and university general education requirements. This is a full-time, limited-access nursing pathway and is structured sequentially. Admission is competitive. Cohort size is determined by the basis of the amount of qualified faculty, laboratory and classroom facilities, and clinical teaching resources. As such, candidates for admission must disclose any conviction or plea of guilty, nolo contendere, or no contest to a misdemeanor or felony in any jurisdiction (other than minor traffic offenses). Driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while impaired (DWI) are not minor traffic offenses for purposes of this disclosure.
