It tells the story of a rookie (Miku) who does not wish to be alone one night and decides to go on a quest to "have the party of her dreams". On her path she encounters a gunner (Len) and a bard (Rin). They head together to the NicoNico Pub, where they meet the bartender (MEIKO), the merchant (KAITO), and the dancer (Luka). The 6 of them decide to head out in the morning after a chaotic night to embark on their own quests. They hit numerous bumps in the road, but the group travels on, determined to finish their quest. The party happens upon the final boss' chamber, just to find out that the rookie was the Dark Lord all along. However, the 6 of them put aside alignment differences to throw the ultimate party.
The title, Party x Party, is most likely a pun on meaning: the party, or group of fighters, go forth on a quest for the ultimate party. This can further be supported by the fact that the music video's graphics are akin to the interface of a role-playing game (RPG). The song was released as a theme song for Nico Nico Cho Party 3.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some lyrics may be attributed to the wrong singer, as there is no official log of who sings what, specially the parts with black lyrics without color squares, as they mean that some combination of singers is singing that part.
DTYD itself is held in mid-April, but the weeks leading up to it are full of auxiliary events. Things get crazy since lots of alumni come back and participate in events like the alumni brunch, alumni hockey game, and Bomber Formal. Last year, literally hundreds of alumni helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of the party, some of whom were participants of DTYD 1!
DTYD births some cool projects and endeavors every year; a few bombers who built sound-reactive lights for their rooms last year decided to make a huge project out of it for DTYD L. The end product was really cool:
Party Party is a 1983 British comedy film about three friends and their North West London crowd. This crowd includes workers, spivs and young police constables. A British entry into the teenage/youth house party genre typified by John Hughes' films, the movie was directed by Terry Winsor and written by Daniel Peacock and Winsor. It is notable for its soundtrack and as the early work of several of the cast members.
It's New Year's Eve, Johnny Reeve (Karl Howman) and his friend, Toby (Daniel Peacock) are out cruising in North-West London being followed by three quasi-threatening motorcyclists. At the same time, Larry (Perry Fenwick) is at Mass with his parents. Just after "Mum" and the Vicar begin bemoaning the nuisance that the motorcyclists make, Johnny and Toby pick up Larry from the front of the church. Through their conversation and those of other characters, we learn that the three are planning to hold a party at Larry's while his parents are away.
Meanwhile, at the police station's gymnasium, Rebecca (Phoebe Nicholls) is sparring with Sam, physically and verbally. After the workout, in the locker room, she teases Sam and Terry. Out in the squad bay, the sergeant tells them they are not to break up any of the local parties which means they can all go to Larry's party.
Larry fakes illness so that he does not have to go with his parents. Toby shows up early and almost blows it by talking about the party in front of Mum and Dad. Once the parents leave, Larry and Toby begin preparing for the guests.
The rest of the movie takes place at the party. Larry is shocked to see Sharon engaged to Tony and keeps trying to spirit her away for a "last fling." Rebecca and Johnny keep using others to get a reaction out of each other including Sam and Bobby. Toby unsuccessfully tries to connect with any female. Shirley is so distraught by her failed attempts to connect with any guy, she plans on drowning herself in the bath tub. Sonya tries to get Tony back. Brenda pursues Sam to no avail until it's clear that Rebecca really doesn't fancy him. Terry succeeds in getting blotto, or "paralytic."
Leading up to the climax, Terry and Shirley hit it off in a full bathtub and Bobby calls Brenda a slag. When Toby defends her honour, Bobby starts to get ready to beat Toby up. Johnny clears everyone out of the kitchen and locks the door leaving Toby alone with Bobby. While Sam and other men cowardly leave Toby in the lurch, Johnny circles back through the back door and sucker punches Bobby, knocking him out. With a wink to Toby, he leaves through the back door. Toby realizes his opportunity after a moment and stages a brawl with appropriate sound effects so that when the others burst in, he is holding his hand and giving the impression that he knocked Bobby out. Now the hero for standing up for her honour, Toby finds himself the object of Brenda's affection. Johnny and Rebecca connect. Shirley and Terry connect. Larry almost connects with Sharon when he is interrupted by Tony and Sonya. Hypocritically, Tony then breaks his engagement with Sharon and goes back to Sonya.
By providing the infrastructure through which those who share our conservative principles can get involved in the political process, run for and be elected to public office, and govern according to our principles when elected.
Republican Primary voters elect the Republican candidates who will appear on the general election ballot, their precinct chairmen, and their county chairmen. Thus, primary voters have a greater influence on the final outcome of the general election than those who only vote in the general election.
In Texas, parties hold their own conventions in election years. In even-numbered years, Texas Republicans hold precinct conventions, county or senatorial district conventions, a state convention, and in presidential years, a national convention.
The purposes of the conventions are to:
The quorum to conduct statutory business is those members present.
The quorum to fill a vacancy is at least of the membership, but may be set higher through local rules.
The quorum to conduct all other business is of the membership.
Election of Temporary Officers
Adoption of a Resolution to Form a Society
Further Business relating to Organization
Create a bylaws committee
Fix the date, hour, and place of next meeting
Motion authorizing the bylaws committee to provide reproduced copies of the draft for distribution
As State Party Chair, I have not and do not take sides in matters of local county executive committees. Republican Party of Texas Rule 1f only allows the State Party Chair to clarify ambiguity in the RPT Rules. It does not allow me to opine on legal matters or tax liability.
Did Mr. Reed identify the actual issue that his question was in reference to the existing Montgomery County Republican Party passing new Bylaws that completely replaced the old Bylaws on June 26, 2018 with a majority vote rather than a 2/3 vote?
As State Party Chair, I have not and do not take sides in matters of local county executive committees. Republican Party of Texas Rule 1f only allows the State Party Chair to clarify ambiguity in the RPT Rules.
The SREC makes the final decision of the meaning of the RPT Rules, including RPT 1f. It is my opinion that there was nothing under RPT Rule 1f for me to offer clarification. There is no ambiguity as to what threshold is required for the adoption of bylaws or rules.
Many of the questions you raise that do not touch on RPT Rules create interesting academic questions. These questions touch on legal principles that the Republican Party of Texas has taken great interest in to defend our associational rights.
I pray that the local party is able to work together and heal the fractures in relationships. There is great need to treat each other with respect if we are to succeed in our attempts at self governance both within our organizations and within government.
So, with respect to a County Executive Committee, an Organizational Meeting is the first CEC meeting each biennium, called in accordance with Rule 8e, at which bylaws are adopted, and at which members (precinct chairs and county chair) are sworn in (placed on the membership roll).
I would also caution for your calculations that the county chair is a member of the executive committee and therefore should be counted in determining the proper number that constitutes one-fifth of the members.
In cases where the bylaws use a general term and also two or more specific terms that are wholly included under the general one, a rule in which only the general term is used applies to all the specific terms.
I do find there there to be ambiguity in the rule. I therefore clarify under RPT Rule 1f that a member does not need to be in attendance for a vote in order to demand in writing that a roll call vote be taken on a vote(s).
Please be aware that the intent of RPT Rule 7 is to safeguard against a presiding officer inaccurately determining the outcome of a motion for a roll call vote that is otherwise decided by division. The intent is not to allow a small, but sufficiently large minority to tax the body. The clarification here and the lack of clarification in response to your November email keep that intent in mind when reviewing the language adopted by the 2018 State Convention.
