Xbox has a lot to reveal during Sunday's Xbox Games Showcase. Not just games, but also new consoles coming our way before the end of 2024. It was believed that both PlayStation and Xbox might have new hardware incoming before the end of the year, but it's somewhat surprising that Xbox has revealed what it's got coming before PlayStation. No pro versions of its current consoles - Phil Spencer previously confirmed that was never on the cards - but a digital-only Series X, a Series S with more storage space, and a Galaxy Black Series X with 2TV of storage.
The headliner here is a digital-only Series X. Unlike PlayStation, Xbox opted not to release a Series X without a disc tray at launch, instead releasing the Series S for those who weren't bothered about using their current-gen console to play physical media. That changes later this year as a digital-only Series X with a 1TB SSD in Robot White will be released. It's unclear if the regular version of the Series X will also be available in white.
While you might not be able to own a Series X with a disc tray in white, you will be able to grab one in Xbox's newly introduced color - Galaxy Black. A first look at the 2TB SSD console reveals its black with a speckled white design, making it look like it's covered in far away stars. It has a green base and the rear of the matching controller is the same Xbox green.
Finally there's the Robot White Series S. Very similar in design to the Series S that has been available since 2020, the key difference here is the storage available. Bumping the Series S's storage space up to 1TB is a significant upgrade. With game sizes growing all the time, the Series S was in serious need of a storage boost. In some cases, the base model of the less powerful console can only house a few games before owners need to buy more storage or start deleting games to make space for new ones.
Xbox doesn't appear to have revealed prices for its new trio of Series XS options, but we'll update you as soon as it does. There's also no confirmation on when exactly the consoles will be available to buy beyond before the end of the year. An educated guess would have them dropping in early November, four years on from the launch of the original Series XS consoles.
I bought a white Xbox one S used the person I bought it from said it worked fine and I saw it running with my own eyes. When I brought it home and plugged it in it turned on started in a timely fashion ran well but my screen was covered in artifacts and the display was too small to fill the screen. So I went to my settings and changed the resolution from 480p to 1080p and it immediately displayed no signal on my TV. I waited about 30 minutes and then tried hard resetting my xbox. Still no display, I changed HDMI cords to one that worked on my old xbox 1 and used all three different ports in my TV, it is in the port that goes to the TV and I flipped the cord around ETC. I tried starting it up in low resolution mode this did not work. The screen is not black my TV says no signal. My xbox seems to be working fine turns on and off normally. Please help I just bought this yesterday
I'm having a similar issue. My xbox is turning on, not connecting via HDMI then turning off after 3-5 minutes. Black screen fixes aren't working. I've soft reset, hard reset, left it unplugged for 24h. No fix. Someone please lmk how to fix this!
Soo I had a smart TV and I left it on so then I unplugged the power supply from the back of the TV (whiles it's on) then plugged it in turned the TV on while my xbox was on and it worked. Thought I'd share the fix
If you've just installed a system update and you see a blank screen, try the Xbox One System Update Solution. In step 1, select I NEED TO TROUBLESHOOT A SYSTEM UPDATE ERROR, and then follow the steps shown.
You need to get to general video fidelity & overscan and change the display override to hdmi (if that's what you are using) that how I've fixed mine it wouldn't go from a smart TV to a regular tv. However if you don't have a TV to work on this could be difficult, you'd have to learn the exact button presses to do this.
If you are logged in and can get to your settings you need to press up, up before starting the instructions because you start on the system category when logged in rather than the general when you are not.
I done loads, and I unplugged my tv lead with xbox on and plugged me tv bk in and worked straight away. I had power on tv and unplugged and 5secs after just plugged bk in and on the screen it came. I cant find out why but only thing worked for me cheers who wrote that one.

Microsoft launched a new 1TB Xbox Series S on September 1, coinciding with the release of Starfield, the latest major exclusive game on Xbox consoles. The new carbon black Xbox Series S costs $350, which is $50 more than the original white and black model. In exchange for the higher price, buyers get twice as much storage space.
"We know you've wanted more storage with Xbox Series S," Xbox chief executive Phil Spencer said during the company's summer gaming showcase. The original Xbox Series S launched with 512GB of storage that amounted to 364GB of usable space after necessary updates and software installs. Xbox Series S is an all-digital console with no disc drive, so storage space is essential.
Xbox Series X and Series S have been the fastest-selling generation of Xbox consoles to date, thanks in part to the affordable price of the Series S. If you're hoping to get your hands on the new 1TB Xbox Series S, we've got you covered with full details on how to buy one now.
The Carbon Black 1TB Xbox Series S was released on September 1 for $350. Multiple retailers offered preorders and continue to have the console in stock, including Amazon, Best Buy, Target, Newegg, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store.
Online orders are readily available, but brick-and-mortar retailers like Best Buy, Target, and GameStop also offer in-store pickup. The console includes an Xbox Wireless Controller with two AA batteries, an HDMI cable, and a power cable.
