We are starting a new section - a Photo Section. A Photo Section could
help us recover (even preserve, maybe) our school's visual history,
Consider this point: for our Class '58's recent reunion, I was looking
for a picture of the old school building (the structure that was our
Class' school from 1954-1958). I was not able to find one. I did find
a "partial" (that is, it was an old black-&-white picture of female
students playing volleyball - in the foreground - at the back of the
old building. At the background of the photo is a corner of the old 2-
story building. This is the only picture of the old school that I can
find). This old picture is one of the pictures shown in the "Photo
Section".
The four (4) photos, added in the Photo Section, have the following
subjects;
- The NESHS gate, circa 1998
- The NESHS gate, circa 2007
- The NESHS "lambingan" bridge*, circa 1998
- The old (original) school building (undated)
* NOTE: The "lambingan" bridge was a nostalgic site for alumni of the
old school. It was a wood-&-bamboo bridge crossing an irrigation
canal. It was upgraded to an asphalt-&-concrete road/bridge sometime
after the 1960s.
To view the Photo Section, you would need to go to the Alumni's home
page and scroll down the page to where the "FILES" section shows. The
photos (appropriately captioned) would be in that section.
Thanks and enjoy.
