This year, for the first time, Young Israel Shomrai Emunah will have a Vasikin minyan on the first morning of Shavuos. That is in addition to the annual early minyan which meets to coincide with the earliest time for talis and tefilin, as well as the other regularly scheduled minyanim. The Vasikin minyan will begin at 5:05 am. We will pace davening to begin Shacharis Shmoneh Esrei precisely at Sunrise (Neitz Hachama). That time is within seconds of 5:40 am. In order to determine where the minyan should meet -- downstairs in the Social Hall or upstairs in the small Beis Midrash -- we are trying to determine how many are likely to attend. I am organizing and coordinating the Vasikin minyan. If you are planning to attend or interested in attending, please e-mail me at
jfre...@srgpe.com so that YISE may assign the appropriate location for the minyan.
Thank you.
Jacob
