The next time that you update Nerves from master, you'll get a set of
updates from the Buildroot 2015.02 release. Please check your configs
and build clean. Since I've been working a lot recently on Raspberry
Pi boards, those configurations have improved substantially and now
use the Linux 3.18 kernel. I've also received updates for the
Beaglebone Black configuration.
Another highlight of the recent updates to master is the ability to
make demo images that boot to the Erlang, Elixir and LFE shells. While
these configurations are limited, they do provide a way to make Nerves
demo images without setting up a separate project and all the work
that entails. If you're using Raspberry Pi boards, I have configs
ready to go that build them. (Run "make realclean; make
nerves_rpi_lfe_defconfig; make" to build the LFE version) If you're on
another platform, run the make nerves_xxx_defconfig for your platform
and then run "make menuconfig". Look under the user provided menu and
the nerves-config options.
My plan is to tag a release as the dust settles. Everything has been
working well for me so far, so I'm optimistic on doing this soon.
Please let me know if you run into issues. And yes, documentation
updates will be coming too. :)
