I am looking for a way to automatically backup key tables in our Airtable base to sheets or CSV files in Google Drive. I had a play with Zapier and with Airtable automations, but couldn't find a way to do it.
Hi @Andy_Brice , I am the CEO of Pro Backup. I'd be interested to hear more about what went wrong for your Pro Backup account. I can ensure you that our tool allows you to backup & restore your Tables and also have them synced to Google Drive (records, fields, comments, files, etc).
I've managed to create a backup of my database on an SD card and restore from there but realized that the purpose of my backup is to ensure the safety of the data and in this case if the physical device itself is damaged, lost, or spontaneously combusts so will the backup on the SD card. So having the backup in the same place as the original in this case, quite frankly defeats the purpose of having a backup.
I've found some code to fiddle with but it's still using some deprecated methods and so far I've only managed to run it when omitting the deprecated area but it only creates a blank binary file in my Google Drive so I think that deprecated area is where it actually uploads the DB backup content. If anyone could help out that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your help.
The camera roll on your device only backups to Microsoft OneDrive - it does not sync photos both ways. That means you can delete backed up photos and videos from your device, and the copies in OneDrive won't be affected.
If your camera backup is taking too long to set up or look for photos, without giving any error message, it could be because you have too many photos in your camera roll, or that you are out of storage space. Read What does it mean when your OneDrive account is frozen?
For the Google Drive app, visit the iOS App Store or Google Play Store to download and install it on your device. Next, you can backup your favorite photo albums to Google Drive by following the detailed steps, let's start with mobile devices.
Step 1: Open the Google Drive app on your iOS device and tap the menu in the upper left corner (three vertically stacked rows).
Step 2: From the list, tap "Settings". Then click "Backup".
Step 3: Finally, click "Start Backup" after completing other settings to start the backup process.
If the backup did not complete and you get the error message "Backup did not complete", then you should try again. This problem may only be temporary. If it fails again, make sure you have a stable connection to the WiFi network.
Step 1: Launch the Google Drive app from your Android device,
Step 2: Go to "Settings" on your Android phone. Then tap Account and backup > Backup and restore, then turn on Back up my data.
Step 3: Select your Google account, enable the option to Back up to Google Drive, and click "Back up now".
Note: Different types of android devices may have different steps to access the backup section, so you can just search for "backup" in the "Settings" app and do the same as above.
After a successful backup, you can view and edit your photos directly from the Google Drive app or Google Photos app. If the backup fails, follow the same troubleshooting steps provided in the iOS device section.

Data plays a pivotal role in business continuity and maintenance of records in today's day and age. Losing data means losing your essential records that mostly cannot be reproduced. It is imperative to have all your data backed up to a reliable source along with a robust recovery system. Also, considering the current always-on-the-go lifestyle, it is essential to have a cloud backup solution that allows the flexibility of accessing your data anywhere, anytime.
IDrive offers reliable cloud backup solutions that are affordable and easy to install and comes with a centralized web console - IDrive Dashboard to manage local or online backups remotely from anywhere.
Instead of having to remember a thumb drive, or emailing items to yourself, cloud storage lets you access your files, documents and photos on demand. If your computer or phone crashes, you don't have to worry about losing your content, because those files are stored on a separate server. Cloud storage can be a convenient option because options like Google One, iCloud and OneDrive are built into services many use on a daily basis. Cloud storage also lets you keep your device's local storage freed up.
After several years of faithful service, my Nokia 7.1 phone has finally bitten the dust after an unfortunate incident with a large volume of water.
I've ordered a Samsung Galaxy S10 as a replacement, and my Nokia was backed up to Google Drive, however, I can't seem to find how to restore the Google Drive backup to my Nokia S10.
SmartSwitch isn't an option because my Nokia won't switch on.
Many thanks in advance!
One thing I do like about cPanel / WHM - is the ability to backup our virtual servers and config files to Google Drive. We have been doing this for several years and really appreciate the simplicity and reliability of it.
RE Google Drive: we have been using it for many years - primarily as we use it as shared spaces for our teams and external partners. We do purchase a large storage space and we have found it useful to have these backups (from cPanel previously) in that same shared repository, partly as several devs can have access to it. We have found that the cPanel option has been quite straight-forward to use and a rotation of 3 per week, 4 weeks, 3 months does not incur huge charges from 5 servers.
I have a backup from another stock Android phone using Google Drive One, stored at Is there a way to restore at least the messages/SMS to my Graphene OS phone? I tried a few backup/restore apps but they dont seem to be able to access that location or don't recognize the file system. Tutorials online show this being an option to restore during phone setup, but I never saw those screens. -android-phone-from-backup-3229485/
However, you can also restore your call logs, SMS, and contacts with an app like: -ie. You can restore any apps which have their own backup implementation like Aegis, Signal, WhatsApp, Tasks.org, etc. Any apps with their app data stored in the cloud you can restore simply by signing in like Bitwarden, ProtonMail, Element, etc. You might also want to restore your browser bookmarks too, browsers Brave can do that.
I want to change my PC. I don't want to spend data downloading the folder from Drive to my other PC when I can manually copy and paste it via a pen drive.I wanted to know how do I set up Google Backup and Sync for the same folder on my other PC without allowing Google to change the location.
Android 12 marks a shift in how Google handles backups with the platform. Users will work with Google One for their device backups. The system is a significant improvement over the previous solutions and should be a welcome change to everyone.
If your device has Android 4.4 or later (or is a Chromebook) and you have the Google Drive Android app installed, you can create and restore backups to/from Google Drive using the Local Backup feature:
If you're creating a backup before factory resetting your device, make sure Drive has completed the upload before doing so. To do this, open the Drive app after completing the below steps. It should show a progress indicator with the upload/sync status.
One of the biggest offenders is how Android handles backups between Google Drive, Google Accounts, and Google Photos. These different systems offer redundancy between your mobile device, your online account, and any computers connected to Google Drive.
Now, you can still create multiple Google Drive accounts and get extra storage, so using one account solely for backups and another for your other files is perfectly acceptable. Still, these two accounts will have different logins and email addresses.
