Conway Scwenic fire

This morning  2nd, Conway Scenic 0-6-0 7470 had a cab fire while loco was in roundhouse at 6AM.. Cab, some equipment ( gages) in the cab plus roundhouse had some damage, Fire may have started by fault in radio, charger or battery.  Fire got hot enough to cause the spring in the whistle to let go and the whistle started blowing. A worker was sleeping on site and called 911, Fire Dept is next door.

Phew!  How strange, really glad there was not significant damage t the old gal warrior
