If you're using Windows and you've installed a HP driver, VueScan's built-in drivers won't conflict with this. If you haven't installed a Windows driver for this scanner, VueScan will automatically install a driver.
I am always a little apprehensive when installing new equipment.
But this one went perfectly.
I work mainly with Linux Xubuntu and sometimes with Win 10.
For Linux, the printer and scanner were recognised directly, without any manipulation. I already had HPLIP 3.20.3 installed for my previous printer (HP 1000 laserjet).
Under Win 10, it took a little longer, since I had to download and install the drivers and software, but everything went well.
The printer and scanner can be used on both systems without any problem, the recto/verso did not pose any problem, the printing is fast and of good quality, compared to the HP 1000, even if the noise level is a little higher, but nothing to worry about.
In short, for the moment, everything is OK, it remains to be seen how reliable it is over time...
