Hi all,

If anyone wants a project there's an English Model A listed on UK ebay. Appears to be fairly complete, with the possibility of more parts to be added to it if the vendor can find them. This one wasn't on my father's list, so is a new find.

Cheers,

Martin

£4000 (with reserve not met) seems rather steep though in today’s market.

It looks fairly complete. And aren't they selling for about twice that
as runners?

The vendor states that he may be way out with the starting price, it's his best guess based on what others have told him. I thought it was a lot, but the ex-Terry Smith Model A sold at Bonhams for over £18k (incl. premium) last year. If he can find the other parts to more or less complete the bike (it was part of a deceased relative's collection) then it might be worth that price. Andy started with far worse 🙂 It'll be interesting to see how it sells on ebay compared to a more dedicated route such as at a motorcycle auction.

I've suggested to the vendor that he checks out your website so he knows what to look for when searching for the missing parts.

I did. In fact the only thing that made my restoration possible was
your website. So many thanks for that.

Went for £5400.

I wonder if we will see the new owner here?
