Registration will go live at noon on Tuesday, March 10th.   (That's in Eastern Standard Time, after the US time change this Sunday, also known as UTC-4 time zone).

If you haven't used BikeReg before, you may want to go ahead and set up a user account now.

Current RUSA membership is required for the event, including international riders.   If possible, please register/renew before registration.  We will be doing a final check for valid membership on July 24th (the last day of refunds).

Registration is $200, or $150 with a New England Randonneurs Season Pass ($50 discount on all events, making most free; for more details see https://ner.bike/nersite/?p=5456).  A $50 deposit is non-refundable; refunds of the rest will be available until July 24th (two months before the event).

The registration page also has registration for the 200k being held alongside the last day of the 1200k -- 1000k riders can register for free.  (There is no rider cap for the 200k.)

There is an automatic waitlist set up on BikeReg - if registration fills, we will contact riders in order of signing up on the waitlist and offer them a slot; you are not required to take your slot and will not be charged anything if you decline it.

We're excited to welcome you to the event!
Sarah (and the rest of the Six Pack organizing team)

Hey Sarah,

To clarify - is this really noon eastern standard time (which would be 1 pm on the clock since we’ll be in daylight savings time)? Or is it noon eastern daylight time?

Looking forward to the ride, thanks for putting this together!

Cheers
Peter

Augh, I always mix up which is actually "standard" and "daylight".  Noon in the new time we shift to tomorrow, which is Eastern Daylight, not Eastern Standard.   UTC-4, either way.

Registration opened on March 10 at noon, which is now about 46 hours ago.   The NER website has a 1200 6-Pack link.   At the top of this link is waitlist of about five people.   What I am missing is a description of what this waitlist means, as usually waitlists are created only after an event is full and has no more openings.   There seems to be no indication of a maximal number of allowed riders for this 6-Pack, a name that I do not understand and feel like I am misusing it.   Has registration filled , hopefully with at least 50 riders?  Is there a place to see the names of the registered riders?   I've asked the same of the Coulee Challenge folks a couple of days ago.   I have been riding brevets since '01 and have seen a marked decline in the enrollment.   I miss the days of having people to ride with and am now waiting to see that others are registered before I register.  Incidentally, I will be flying to Paris April 28 for a bicycle camping tour of Euro Velo 6 as far east as Budapest before turning west to head for Milan, from which I fly back to VT on June 17.   Anyone want to join me?

You can find more info about the event here:

The rider cap is 40 people and the waitlist is active. Register on BikeReg to secure a spot on the waitlist. My gut feeling is there will be openings later in the summer but time will tell. Also on the BikeReg page you can see the names of who is registered and in what category.

Hi Peter,

They said they were limiting the field to 40 riders for 1200/1000 combined, so the waitlist are the riders over those 40. They mentioned that there may be a sizable pre-ride group that includes the volunteers and they may open that to others.

You can find the current list of riders here: https://www.bikereg.com/Confirmed/75262

Peter,
All that information is in the email thread you are responding to.
The organizers have done a great job of getting information out to interested riders.
The ride in Europe looks awesome, have a great adventure!

thank you, Jake . I do now see that rider cap, that had somehow eluded me before.   I also just found the BikeReg page and got to see the familiar names that have thankfully made this a ride worth being on my calendar.   With gratitude, Peter

To see who's registered, and the waitlist, you can go to the https://www.bikereg.com/new-england-six-pack registration site. At the top is a link to "WHO'S REGISTERED". Click that link to see the specifics. I'll leave to other question for the organizers.
