Hi everybody!
I hope someone out there will be able to help me. Sorry for my
English, as I'm from Italy.
I have a Linksys WAG354G V2 wireless router, and I'm using firmware
1.01.58-Neptune354V2 (by C@rciofone) (which is, by the way, a great
realease and a huge improvement over the same, official version).
Anyway, I'm trying to make Wake-on-LAN work from the WAN (so, I'm
actually trying to get Wake-on-WAN to work), without any success. I'm
using Magic Packet Utility as WOL software, and whereas everything
works great inside the LAN, it doesn't when I try to do it through
WAN.
According to me, the problem is I haven't found a way to forward a
port (2304, in my case) to the Broadcast-IP of my network, which
should be 192.168.1.255. If I try to put "255" in the correct fields
under "Applications & Gaming", I receive an error message, saying
"255" is out of range.
So, my problem is essentially that of forwarding a port (2304) to the
Broadcast-IP of my netwrok.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I found a possible solution here: http://cyberstorm.altervista.org/?p=25.
So, using SSH (which works, on the release I have) and the command
ether-wake [MAC address], everything just works!
Anyway, if you know any other ways to sort out the problem, please
feel free to write about them!
Thank you to the fantastic people who spent part of their time
programming this unofficial realease of the WAG354GV2 firmware!
