Information: NePhO pre-selection test

Dear all,

 

Nepal Physics Olympiad Committee (NePhO) (a sub committee of Nepal Physical Society) is going to take pre-selection test on 6th of March 2010 to form the National team for the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) 2010. IPhO has become an annual high-status international event for higher secondary school science students and graduates, who have not joined any college, all over the world. NePhO will pre-select 20 students. They will be given training for one week before selection of the National Team. The National Team will be given intensive training before departure to the venue of the 41st International Physics Olympiad, which will be held in Zagreb, Croatia from 17-25 July, 2010. Our experience with the selection and training of the team in the previous couple of years will  help us immensely in organizing the event.

 

In the past, Mr. Bishal Lamichhane won,"HONOR MENTION” award and President’s prize for the “Best among the New Participants” in the International Physics Olympiad-2007, and Mr. Rohan Poudel won,"BRONZE MEDAL” in the International Physics Olympiad – 2009, which was held in Merida, Mexico.
