Dear Physicists,
NPS appreciates the contributions made by her members especially residing in USA for their contributions to purchase the multimedia projector. The contributions was more than Rs. 97,000.00 and we purchased the Epson projector (whose picture was posted in the previous email also) for Rs. 60,000.00. We still have Rs. 37,000 from this amount. We requested to suggest proper place to use the remaining money (Rs. 37,000) contributed by its valued members.
To date, NPS has not received suggestion in this regard. NPS would like to ask whether the money could be used for the International conference "International conference on frontiers of physics 2009" to be held during 2-5 June, 2009. It is one of the biggest events to be organized by NPS in its history and NPS is expecting people from around the Globe in the conference including at least one Nobel Laureate. However, it is still difficult to collect fund for it so we thought that Rs. 37,000.00 will be very valuable.
NPS further requests that if any of its members from USA or any other country is making plans to visit his/her home (Nepal) in summer please make your plans to attend and present a paper during the confernece. Your presence will be very very encouraging for the people in Nepal. Please send your abstract to icfp...@gmail.com OR any of the secretariats mentioned in the brochure.
