Please take note of the following upcoming events of interest to Nepean families: 

Tuesday, March 19 7:00 – 8:30 pm – Nepean School Council meeting in the school library. In addition to hearing updates from staff and administration on activities taking place at the school, attend to find out how you can help at Nepean. There may be requirements for coaching support for the spring athletic season. In addition, the parent council will have a significant number of vacancies due to ‘graduating’ parents in June. Details of the roles to be filled will be provided. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Thursday, March 14 6:00 – 8:00 pm – The Carlington Community Centre is pleased to present: We are all in it together: An information session for caregivers supporting teens with mental health, addictions, and youth justice related challenges

All parents are welcome to attend and connect with youth counsellors Marc Léger and Katherine Marr to learn more about:

-                   How to connect yourself or a young person with appropriate programs and services in your community?

-                   How to create and maintain change beyond services you have accessed?

-                   How to care for yourself as you care for your teen?

This information session is intended for any concerned adults who are caring for 12-20 year olds in the Ottawa-Carleton area. It will take place at 900 Merivale Rd., Ottawa, 3rd floor – Maxwell Room. For more information:  613-722-4000, ext. 210
