Three Important announcements for all NHS Parents:

 

1)   Good Day NHS Parents and Alumni:

I have been asked this year to help organize the Annual Staff Appreciation Breakfast that is hosted by School Council.  It is an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to the NHS staff for all their ongoing hard work and dedication

How can you help?  Please consider donating a food item for the day of this event and/or consider donating some of your time.

I've created a short list of what is needed and shared it with everyone on
google docs.  Please feel free to sign up to what suits you best.

Let me know if you have any problems opening it.

2)     Mark your calendar: Tuesday November 4^th:

 

NHS is proud to present a Town Hall evening for all interested parents and community members on Tuesday November 4^th in the auditorium.

 

The theme for the evening is "Anxiety in the Age of Social Media" and Paul Davis of Social Networking Safety has been booked as our key speaker.

 

We would like to invite at least one or two more speakers for the evening and are interested in hearing from you on any suggestions. We are also looking for any parents who might like to become more involved in organizing the town hall and speakers.

3)    NHS School Council meetings:

 

Parent council meetings are now completed for this school year.

 

As in previous years, our meeting schedule beginning in the fall, is every 3^rd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm in the school library. Come and meet your principal, teacher reps and fellow parents and find out what really goes on at your childrens’ school. ALL parents are invited and the first meeting takes place Tuesday September 16^th.
