Reminder re: Upcoming Events for Parents at Nepean HS

Hi all and welcome back to another great year at Nepean. On behalf of the entire School Council, I'd like to make you aware of several upcoming events:

Tuesday, September 18 - 7:00 - 8:30 pm - The first School Council meeting of the year will be held in the library. All parents are strongly encouraged to attend. Please note that new School Council executive members are urgently needed this year as several former members recently 'graduated' in June and several more will do so in 2013. For more information on the various roles, please feel free to contact me (coordinates at the bottom of this note).

Thursday, September 20 - 7:00 - 9:00 pm - Mini-Timetable Night. This is Nepean's version of "Meet the Teacher" - it begins with a brief presentation in the auditorium and then you will walk through an abbreviated version of your child's Day 1 timetable, visiting his or her classrooms and meeting teachers. 

Tuesday, October 16, 2012 - 7:00 – 9:00 pm - Nepean HS Auditorium Nepean School Council Presents the fourth annual TOWN HALL MEETING on Navigating the NEW Social Scene —

Texting/Sexting and Your Teen’s Online Reputation. All are encouraged to attend this must-see presentation from the Ottawa Police Services, followed by a Panel Discussion to address your

questions and to help our teens make good choices in an evolving online environment.
