NHS seeking coaches for late-winter sports season
We are very fortunate to have parent and community volunteers currently coaching 6 interscholastic teams at Nepean High School. We are now looking for volunteer coaches for co-ed badminton and our Junior Girls and Junior Boys Volleyball teams for the late-winter season. The deadline for team registration is February 1, 2013. January 15 – School Council meeting – 7pm in the library. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
January 17 – Key Club Spaghetti Dinner – 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Current and future NHS families and community members are encouraged to support this tasty annual fundraiser.
January 17 – Information Night for incoming Grade 9 students & parents – 7:00 pm in the auditorium. Current grade 8 students who are considering attending Nepean next year are invited to an information session which will begin immediately following the Spaghetti Dinner. The agenda for the evening will be focused on our Grade 9 program and will include information sessions on academic programs, post-secondary pathways, learning support services, and our student success programs.

Please
note that all Grade 12 English exams, and all Grade 10 Math exams will be
written in the timeslot that reflects the period of the class. All students are
expected to attend their exams on the scheduled days. On the exam day, students
are reminded to return textbooks to the subject teacher.
May 2013 – Nepean High School 90th reunion
The Nepean High School 90th Anniversary Celebration will take place from Friday May 10 to Sunday May 12, 2013.
