Dear Friends,

Please, have a look at this graph. This is very tentative one. If you agree in general, we can use this to sensitize our members. Please, give me your comments and suggestions soon.

With regards

Nani Ram

Dear sir
Namaskar
It is a good idea to observe the development trend of NEPAN but i am a bit cnfused whether  this graph is used to sensitise NEPAN's member or it is just used to measure the trend of development of NEPAN . If we want to measure NEPAN's achievements there is another tool of spider too. It is a tool to measure the organisational achievements like where we are now ?and what we have achieved so far. We should realise these two things whether we use graph or another tool. thank u.
with best regard
sheela

Dear Naniram ji
The graph looks interesting, a little explanation might be useful to generate discussion on this, such as the value or indicator of the graph. Is the graph is drawn against budget or expenditure or number of member or number of publication? what is it that we should be aiming at.

Best regards
Mahesh

Dear Naniram Sir,
The graph itself potrays the situation. But we are not able to identify the variables used to predict.
In my opinion, you forgot to write number of members in the Y-axis and there is year in the X-axis.Depending upon other variables, we can show number of graphs. Thank you for your mathematical intrerpretation.
Rabindra

Dear Mahesh Sir, Rabindra Sir, and Seela Madam,

Namaskar,

All of your comments are valid. I agree with all of you. This graph has been drown based on layman observation. There are many indicators - coming together. For example, if we have programme, it means we have also budget, then we do number of activities together with publications - then visibility and popularity of NEPAN increases. If there is work, members and secretarial staffs also get mobilised.

Please, take this graph just a area of thinking in this way. If some of you have better idea of making such graph based on actual data from our Secretariat, it will be a visual tool for informing / sensitizing our members. Let us do this if some of you are ready to contribute !

With regards

Nani Ram

Dear fatik sir,

Thank you and very interesting. The graph shows the highly up and down situation over the years. In the past there were raised a lot of reasons, for example, in the late nineties there was charm for PRA learning and practice that NEPAN was the place of promoting and developing and so on... result of challenging of members mobilization. Can we trace out the reasons of the situation in a very participatory and documentation and further learning.

Thanking you.

Regards,

gopal

If you add trend line - it definitely shows decreasing trend. But why? this is the question we need find answer. Also if you separate life member and general members - graph could be further interesting

some organisation collect some basic information like the reason for leaving or not renewing the membership from those who do not want to renew their membership. Perhaps if possible and not difficult, we should try to find out why they did not renew the membership
Regards
Mahesh

Ffatikjee,
Thank you for your creative work.
But the question for us is to investigate why such trend occured? Waht are the ways to reduce such ups and downs. It's really the researchable issue.Hope to do somrthing in this issue in future.
