Participation for upcoming Software Freedom Day Celebration 2009

Hi all,

As you all are already informed, here are some of the guiding documents for Software Freedom Day 2009. This time,  the sixth Software Freedom Day (SFD) celebration organized by Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) Nepal Community in association with various ICT stakeholders in Nepal on September 19, 2009 (ie Ashwin 3, 2066: Saturday). 

FOSS Nepal Community, which is a team of those enthusiastic people who believe in the usage of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS) has been organizing the SFD celebration since  2005 in Nepal. This year, various programs are being organized in Chitwan, Dharan and Biratnagar along with Kathmandu to raise awareness about the software freedom with the theme "FOSS for Enterprise". In Kathmandu, the D-Day event is being organized on September 19, 2009 at Yala Maya Kendera, Patan Dhoka, Lalitpur. It is expected that this will be enjoyable platform for technical and non-technical enthusiast to know, learn and experiment with FOSS and celebrate the freedom provided by it. 

This year's SFD is being organized in association with  High Level Commission for Information Technology (HLCIT), Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), Nepal Information Technology Centre (NITC), Prime Sponsored by D2HawkeyServices and supported by Kathmandu University (KU),  Madan Puraskar Pustakalaya (MPP),  Prime College, Open Learning Exchange (OLE) Nepal, World Link, Janaki Technology, and many other ICT stakeholders and FOSS contributors from Nepal and worldwide are supporting and participating in this celebration in all possible ways.

With this year's theme being "FOSS for Enterprise", Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI), an umbrella organization of the Nepalese private sector, is also on board as our Celebrating Partner.

In this regard, we would like to kindly put forward our invitation to you for being the Participant in the inauguration session of the SFD celebration. An introduction to the program and its draft program agenda has been enclosed for your kind perusal.
