ManuelCarcar-Gimeno graduated in mechanical technical engineering at the Tarrasa Industrial School and the Anderlecht Technical School (Brussels). In 1974, after working as a technical salesperson for the Mercier-Greer Group, he founded HIDRACAR, S.A., initially as an importer of oleo-pneumatic accumulators. Years later, the company began the design and manufacturing of oleo-pneumatic accumulators and other derived products, such as oleo-hydraulic starters, oleo-pneumatic shock absorbers and suspension cylinders, and various pulsation dampeners.
