TheDragonflight campaign covers the overarching storylines of the World of Warcraft: Dragonflight expansion. Stepping back from the high-stakes of Shadowlands, Dragonflight deals more with exploration and adventuring and dealing with not-so-cosmic threats...

The four major factions in Dragonflight each have their own campaign storylines. Similar to the four covenants of Shadowlands, the factions each have their own Renown. Renown is gained by earning reputation, of which 2,500 is required to earn one point of Renown. Unlike the Shadowlands covenants, all four Dragonflight major factions can be joined at the same time and worked on in parallel. In addition, most unlocks are account-wide.

Additionally, other quest chains were added in this patch, including the Old Hatreds storyline in Ohn'ahran Plains, the Heritage of Draenor storyline for orcs, the Lion's Heritage storyline for humans, the second half of the Winterpelt Furbolg storyline in the Azure Span, and unlocking access to old troll-related armor and recipes via the [Relics of a Fallen Empire] achievement and the [1-70] Restored Hakkari Bijou quest.

Going in order :

BFA > okish , although it felt very monotone .

Shadowlands > too much to describe . A short no .

Blue flight > Short answer : Boring soap opera , tear jerking that tries too hard .

Long answer :

I liked revisiting the old zones and seeing some old npcs . Maybe the overall idea was ok . The story telling and the character builds were poor . We are expected to feel sorry for npcs the character has hardly interacted with , with a bunch of cringe lines that feel fake and forced . Over all this felt like it was survivor , soap opera or some random lower grade series on netflix . If you like stuff like that than great for you . There are definitely a lot of people who like it it seems .

For me personally the only questline I kind of liked this expansion was the Silver Scale one . In fact many of the books and the secrets in Forbidden reach were more interesting that most questlines combined .

While going through quests in legion, once I have hit lvl 60, chromie transported me to stormwind, i just turned the quests in and went back to legion, unknowingly that started dragonflight quest line and i one hit kill everything in legion.

The good news is, even if you are not creating a Dracthyr character, you can still visit the Dragon Isles yourself. In this page of IGN's World of Warcraft wiki guide, we walk you through the quests you will need and how to get to the Dragon Isles.

To unlock travel to Dragon Isles for the first time, you will need to accept The Dragonscale Expedition quest line. This quest line is available to all players, but Horde and Alliance players will start their quests at different locations.

When you log into World of Warcraft for the first time after purchasing and downloading the Dragonflight expansion, you will automatically receive the first quest in the chain, The Dragon Isles Await.

To accept the first quest in The Dragonscale Expedition quest line for the Horde, travel to Orgrimmar and seek out Ebyssian. You will be asked to gather Artisans, Explorers, and Scholars for the expedition to the Dragon Isles.

To accept the first quest in The Dragonscale Expedition quest line for the Alliance, travel to Stormwind City and seek out Wrathion near the Stormwind Keep. After speaking with Wrathion, just like in the Horde quest line, you will be asked to gather Artisans, Explorers, and Scholars for the expedition to the Dragon Isles.

The pre-patch for World of Warcraft's latest expansion is finally here, and players can begin preparing for The War Within. This includes starting the pre-requisite quests for The War Within, released in the most recent patch, 10.2.7. This is the final patch for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and it gives players time to wrap up the Dragonflight campaign before getting stuck in the upcoming expansion. One of the first quest lines players will encounter in the pre-patch is the Harbinger quest line, where players are introduced to the antagonist, Xal'atath.

To start the Harbinger quest line, you have to log in to one of your max-level characters and have the Dragonflight expansion. Immediately, you'll be given the quest "The Harbinger." While you don't need to finish the main campaign for Dragonflight, it is advised to tie up all of the loose ends before you go forward with the pre-patch quest line.

Accept the quest and make your way to Dalaran, where you'll be given instructions on how to progress through the quest line. In total, there are 14 quests for you to complete. This particular quest line is one of the lengthier ones you'll be given in the pre-patch, giving you a huge amount of lore to sift through. Doing this quest line slowly is recommended, as you'll be introduced to the antagonist and given a bit of a setup for what you can expect from The War Within.

After you've completed this quest line, you can complete a couple of other quests, including the "Visions of Azeroth quest line." While that quest line is said to be available already, no player has been able to access it at the time of writing. It is likely that the quest line will be released on July 30.

The Shadow of His Wings is a sidequest in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight and you can find it in The Waking Shores, which is the first zone you'll visit when you arrive in the Dragon Isles. It's part of a storyline of the same name and is required for the Sojourner of the Waking Shores achievement.

As The Shadow of His Wings isn't part of the main story campaign, you may miss it. Don't worry though, as I'll show you where you can start the storyline in this guide. It's a relatively short questline too, so you'll be back to leveling in no time. Here's where to find the WoW: Dragonflight Shadow of his Wings quest.

To start The Shadow of His Wings storyline, you need to head to the Smoldering Perch, just north of the Obsidian Bulwark in The Waking Shores. The grassy cliff is where you'll find the NPC, Ingot, though they won't appear until you land in the area. You can find the location in the screenshot below if you're not sure.

Ingot will offer you the first two quests listed above, and the objectives for both are found in the ravine below. A Cultist's Misgivings asks you to locate Ayasanth inside the cage and you'll need to kill 12 Worldbreaker Dragonkin for Punching Up. Ayasanth gives the third quest, Under Lock and Key, and you'll need to kill nearby enemies to get the Worldbreak Cell Key to free them.

To complete this quest, you'll need to head into the nearby cave with Ayasanth and confront Cygenoth the Corrupted. The cave entrance is marked on the map and easy to find and there are a few enemies to deal with inside before you reach your target. One thing to note here is the arcane orb near the right wall of the cave. Clicking on it increases your stats by 5% and the extra damage can be handy for the fight ahead. It reduces your health though, so be careful.

Once Ayasanth confronts Cygenoth, you'll need to kill him, though the NPC will be incapacitated for the fight so you're on your own. He wasn't difficult to deal with on my shadow priest but he may be troublesome for squishier classes without any healing abilities.

You fought off a primalist attack in Camp Antonidas before traveling to the Azure Archives. There, you discovered the Azure Oathstone and the simulacrum of Sindragosa, former prime consort of the blue dragonflight.

Although you successfully rescued the missing tuskarr, you also discovered something disturbing in the process. The gnolls appeared to be utilizing decay magic to tain and rot the land around them. Dismayed, Brena set out to investigate the apparent source of the decay -- Brackenhide Hollow.

You travelled with Brena and Norukk to Brackenhide Hollow, where you met up with one of Kalecgos's mirror images. One of the ley lines he sought to repair was in the thick of Brackenhide Hollow. Kalecgos and Brena decided to help each other by hunting down the source of the decay and getting rid of it.

Working with Brena and Kalecgos, you put the spirits of fallen tuskarr to rest and worked to bring down an Ancient that the gnolls were withering away with decay. After successfully defeating the Ancient, Kalecgos was able to repair the ley line.

With matters in hand, Kalecgos was ready to depart, but Brena asked both of you to travel with her to her home, Iskaara. There, Brena gave Kalecgos more information about ley lines in the area, and you participated in the funeral for Ponoliak, the former chieftain of Iskaara. Kalecgos, having learned much from the Iskaara tuskarr, asked you to meet him at the Azure Archives.

At the Azure Archives, you watched as Kalecgos attempted to summon the scattered blue dragonflight. Suddenly, Khadgar arrived with dire news -- Razsageth herself had arrived to take down an ancient tower called Vakthros, an act that Sindragosa said would destroy not only the tower, but the Azure Span along with it.

Together with Kalecgos and Khadgar, you stopped Razsageth's plans. She turned her fury on Kalecgos, but a group of blue dragons arrived just in time to protect him. Furious, Raszageth flew off, leaving Kalecgos and the others to return to the Azure Archives.

Complete the Sojourner of Azure Span achievement in the geographic order I listed them. That way you follow the flow from west to east in one go. This achievement gathers a collection of optional quests outside of the core storyline of the zone, which rewards Renown with the Iskaara, Dragonscale Expedition, and Valdrakken Accord factions; as well as toys, gear, dragon mount cosmetic appearances, and more.

Note: Camp Nowhere is a partial Sojourner of Azure Span achievement hub. Rustpine Den and Ruins of Karnthar questlines start there. You have to complete Rustpine as a requirement to unlock Winterpelt Hollow questline. You need to complete the Snowhide Camp questline first as a requirement to unlock the Grimtusk Hideaway questline.
