Hi everyone!

I'm from Brazil and I have an Elan mixer, 1986, aluminum chassis, 34 channels, however, the power supply that came with it is older, from series I, II, III.

Because it has less power than required by the mixer, it frequently burns out some transistors.

I recently bought the PCB for the PS-03 power supply that was for sale on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/156535735624 - thanks Mr. Stoica.

Finally, now with the PCB, I can restore the power supply to its original state.

I would like to know if you can help me by specifying the transformer, which I will have made here in Brazil, as it is very heavy to bring from the USA.

I know we have the following power supply voltages:

+18V, -18V at 20A
-25V logic at 5A,
+35V meters at 7A and
+48V phono at 1A

What would be the AC output voltages of the transformers for each of these power supplies?

Thank you for your attention.

Best regards!

Hi Fabricio

The problem you have is not only the transformer, you need bigger heatsinks for more power.

The New Power supply we have is good for 32-24 Elan channels but is over 1000W transformer and have to be made special to run cool and additional isolation for crosstalk

You can not put a new type transformer in the old supply, you need a New Supply or use a second supply.

Sincerely

Mike Stoica

Hello, Mr. Stoica.

Thank you very much for the explanation.

I will proceed with the project of installing the PCB purchased on eBay. I will have to make a transformer here in Brazil; I have no other option.

I will increase the heatsinks to lower the temperature.

Information on the AC output voltages of each part of the transformer would be very helpful.

All the best!!

Hi Fabricio

I don't have the exact specification but the input primary coil was  115V + 115V so they can be connected in parallel for USA 120V or series for 220V
The design we have is very conservative design,

Good luck with the custom transformer, let me know the cost perhaps some other people from EU  wants to buy some

Sincerely

Mike Stoica

Hi, Mike!
Thanks again.
Regarding the transformer secondary, would you have the AC output voltages?
Any restrictions on using a toroidal transformer?
All the best!
