Hi all. I've just joined this group and as a new Neotek Esprit owner would be very happy to share any information and observations ....
Based in Sydney Australia I'm a long term analogue fan, despite the fact my main work is restoring archaic Fairlight digital music systems. I recently acquired an amazing Neotek console from a TV studio here in Australia, and I'm looking at restoring it completely for my in-house studio. This is really a "ground zero" project as there was no power supply, or much other information provided, and I gather after being decommissioned in 1995, it had just sat in a warehouse unloved until now ..
So, having now built a custom power supply, and having powered the desk for the first time in decades, I'm looking forward to running some audio though in the coming days ...
I appreciate most Neotek consoles went to music studios (some fantastically famous), however this particular console would forfil all my personal needs as I predominately to sound to picture..... This one is 12 mono channels in, and 12 stereo channels ....
So to wind up, I'm an old school audio puffin who loves and respects brilliant analogue audio. I've previously had the great pleasure of running a studio with a 1970's Neve console, and I'm now hoping to appreciate a similar experience with the Neotek ......
Thanks, and kind regards, Peter, Horizontal Productions in sunny Sydney
