Hi,

I recently got a 40 channel Neotek Elite 1 (32 mono / 8 stereo).
When I decommissioned it from the seller, it was working fine.

I brought it my studio, plugged everything in and the power supplies (x2) go to "Current Limit" Mode and the 'Logic', -18V and 18V leds are not illuminated on both PSUs.
The meters are all pegged to the red.
I have tried re-sitting the channels and also removing 5 channels at a time trying to locate which any short but I had no luck.

There is barely any motherboard left, it's pretty much replaced by cabling/joints.
On the photos it's the top and bottom PSUs, the middle one is spare and not functional.

Any ides will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
George

The middle PSU is just a spare.

In the master section, one or both of the two rightmost modules is/are most likely not seated properly.  That is common occurrence when moving these boards. You say they have been rewired, so perhaps a connector or wiring has come loose.

Also, you may have blown the internal fuse(s) in both power supplies at this point for the 18V rails.  Disconnect the power supplies from board and see if get appropriate lights on power supplies.

Thanks for the help Robert. I'll look into both suggestions.

Well...after disconnecting the ground on the meters(?) dedicated power supply (not a PS3) and swapping the power cabling between the 2 main PSUs (they were PSU specific the way they had wired them, didn't know that..), the desk is now live!
It sounds amazing :-)

Now off to troubleshoot solo lock issues, bus issues, pan issues etc in 10 or so channels.

Thanks for the help Robert and Ron
