Hey there!  I'm in the Madison Wisconsin area and I want to buy a Neotek board to put in my private studio.  I've been recording to tape machines for 20 years and I believe I'll do it forever, so time to buy a Chicago made midwestern classic!

I'm also on a budget, since I work for a charity helping women in crisis pregnancy situations (we just built another maternity home!)  So I guess I'm looking for one that is in need of repair or maintenance (recapping, new IC chips, etc.)  I can do tech work so I'm trying to save money by getting a fixer-upper.

I found a shipping service that can pick up, pack and carry one across the country.  I don't need an Elite, but the Series 1, II, or III or Elan would be perfect.  At least 16 channels.

Thanks for any leads or tips!  -Victor Taylor, Columbus WI

Hi Victor,

I may have something you’re interested in — series 1a, 20 channel 8 bus. It’s in pretty good shape so not a total fixer-upper, but may need a little tlc. Would you like to shoot me a text and we can chat about it? (970) 988-5916

Best,
Fletcher

Hey Victor, I have a 16 channel 8 bus Series 1 in Omaha. It’s not necessarily in need of repair beyond basic ongoing maintenance stuff, but it does need a few things taken care of. Feel free to shoot me a call or text if that sounds interesting.

Hey Victor,

I’ve got a 24-channel Neotek Series III that we configured into a sidecar (see attached pic). It’s located here in Nashville.

Honestly, I’m just trying to find it a good home— willing to let it go for next to nothing.

If it’s of any interest and may fit your purpose, feel free to call or text me at 615-300-0100.

Best,
Rob Still

Hi Victor,

I’m not selling my Neotek Series 1 but I’m located around the Milwaukee area. If you do end up getting one, I may be able to help source parts and such. Same with tape machine parts - I have a MCI JH24 and two Sony APR 5003’s i use in my personal studio. Always glad to hear someone local using analog too! Good luck!

Take care,
Tom

Just throwing it out there. I have been semi-entertaining selling my 12x8 which technically is not 16 channels but I think the subs could be used creatively, depending.

Whole set of P&F faders, 1E modules on all channels. Integrated patchbay. Was recapped in 2012.

Thanks to this group and especially to Dr. Rob for setting me up with a Neotek Series III.  My living room is now a squirming sea of black cables and connectors!  I'm hoping to get it installed by spring but you all will likely see me on here asking questions.  Compared to my Tascam M3500 board, this Neotek is a whole new universe--and I can see why having technician skills is mandatory. I am losing sleep due to the excitement of having this work of art in my home!  -Victor Taylor

Congrats and good luck! I'm happy the Series III found a good home.
Happy to help if you need any insight as to our mods.
All the best,
Rob Still
