By default, the coastlines for versions 1.18 and above don't match up perfectly. This is not a bug, but rather because the map shows the underlying biomes instead of the exact terrain. Near coasts, ocean and river biomes often have land, while land biomes can be underwater.

For some features like fossils, ruined portals and trail ruins the app currently only points to the center of the chunk they're generated in. Since those structures are small, often buried, and can be offset 10-20 blocks from the chunk center, you might have to do some searching/digging to find them.

The y coordinate isn't shown for every feature. For structures that always generate on the surface or seafloor, this shouldn't be an issue. In other cases, like mineshafts, strongholds and nether fortresses, the structures can easily be found by searching at different heights at the given x/z coordinates.

For technical reasons, you need to know the seed of your world to use Seed Map, unless, of course, you want to find a seed for a new world. If you're playing SSP, the app is able to fetch the seed from your savegame. Alternatively, you can use the /seed command ingame. In SMP, you can use the same command if you have sufficient rights. Otherwise, however, you're dependent on the server owner, who started the world and has access to the savegame and config files.

This app uses some relatively new web technologies. As a result, some features may be disabled for older browsers. I recommend using the latest version of a major browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari.

The first thing you should do is select a seed and version. You can either type it in manually, or you can load it from your savegame. The latter can be done by clicking on "Load from Save..." and selecting your level.dat, or by drag&dropping the level.dat file into your browser window. Level.dat is a small file located in the folder of every Minecraft savegame. You can find the savegames in the saves folder of your Minecraft installation. On Windows you can use %appdata%\.minecraft\saves to get to that folder.

Below the seed and version, you can also choose the Minecraft dimension that you want to view (Overworld, Nether or End). This, and the version you use, will affect which features can be enabled. To toggle certain features, click on the icons in the features box just above the map.

Note that some features will only show if you zoomed in enough. This is to keep the app fast and to not flood it with icons. The app will show a warning and all affected features will be highlighted once that happens.

My friend told me that there is very scary seed 0100101100010101101 on version 1.14. I didn't believe him, cuz I don`t believe in ghosts, anomalies especially in Minecraft, so I just laughed at it. I told him that I will beat Minecraft on that seed, but he said that it is not a joke, and told me never play this seed. Of course I didn't listen to him, and the next day I created world with this nightmare seed.

I spawned. I made wooden pickaxe and axe. Everything was perfect. I got a lot of iron and made full iron armor set. But later something inexplicable began to happen. First all cows started to make sounds which sheep make. And I cannot say that it wasn't funny, but it was weird. Later, when I was in my mine, suddenly all my torches stopped shining. I made new torches, but they didn't make light too! When I returned home, I noticed that some my blocks are replaced with cobblestones (My house was made of oak planks) . It was too weird. Like someone replaced it. At that moment I began to believe that this seed is cursed.. But I had to beat Minecraft, so I continued playing. I went to bed, but when I woke up, I WOKE UP IN THE FOREST!! I was a bit scared, but I decided to look for my house. I didn't find anything except trees and grass. I decided to make a new mine, to get some more iron and coal. When I was mining, my pickaxe suddenly broke, but it was new, and I just started to mine! I made a new one, and continued mining. I had feeling that I am being watched..

I started to dig my way up, but suddenly all stone changed to bedrock. And this player just stood and looked at me. He slowly started moving towards me, and when he was already very close, he hit me. The world crashed with error "0100101100010101101 I am coming". Then I saw world which had name of my address.. I clicked it and my Minecraft crashed.

By the way: If you did not fill the seed, the default seed used is your system time at server creation. Once a seed is generated, it is generated. Adding a seed after startup has no effect (then the default seed has been used)

Any command you use while logged into the WebUI (on the bottom of the log of the spesific game server) will be fired off as an admin or op command. For a user that is logged in as a player on your server, you need to grant that user op status to be able to use any commands. (using the /op [username] command)

Thank you for the fast reply.
The key MinecraftModule.Minecraft.WorldSeed seems to work.
The only problem with this is, that I cannot specify an empty value. Is there any way around that? I would like to haven an empty seed, so the seed will be generated at random.

From towering snowcapped mountains to endless Deep Dark biomes, from survival islands to buried treasure hoards, our selection of Minecraft seeds is bound to contain the perfect sandbox for your Summer adventure.

It's very easy to use a Minecraft seed to create a new world. To do so, first launch Minecraft. Then from the main menu, click Singleplayer, then Create New World, and then More World Options. Enter your chosen Minecraft seed into the black text box, and then click Create New World. Simple!

Now comes the fun part: choosing which cool Minecraft seeds you want to explore in the latest version of the game. Take a look at our library of 35 dang good Minecraft seeds for Java Edition 1.21, and pick out a few that look interesting to you. Then get exploring! That's what Minecraft's all about, after all.

Minecraft's 1.20 update introduced the Cherry Grove as its sole new biome, but these cherry blossoms are some of the most beautiful environmental additions in the entire game. This seed gives you a great view of Minecraft's Cherry Groves, planting you right on the edge of a cherry blossom forest that makes for the perfect idyllic backdrop for all of your crafting experiments. Why not take inspiration from your surroundings and try your hand at building a Japanese-style house?

Here's another example of Minecraft's Cherry Grove biome, combined with a smattering of Snowy Slopes. You'll spawn right at the base of the slopes with cherry trees all around you, and the striking collage of colours makes this location quite the looker for survival and gathering adventures. A plains village lies just on the other side of the snow-covered mountain, so you'll have easy access to trading as you claim this beautiful juxtaposition of pink and white as your base.

This seed starts you in front of a remote swath of frozen ocean with a variety of frosty structures rising from the deep waters before you. You'll really feel like an explorer standing on the edge of the world, and if you've ever read At the Mountains of Madness, H.P. Lovecraft's science-fiction romp about a group of travellers in the Arctic who stumble upon ancient horrors, you might also feel unnerved by the imposing geometrical shapes of the ice before you. There's even a submerged ocean monument not too far from your spawning location, if you dare to brave the deep, frozen waters. Who knows, maybe that's where Cthulhu lies sleeping!

This seed spawns you right in front of a savanna village with a striking feature - a vertical rock formation that looms above the town, almost like an ancient sundial. Not only is this a visually appealing starting location at the intersection of a wide variety of biomes, but it's also a great place to begin your Minecraft adventure, with accessible trading in a peaceful community that sits right on the cusp of the badlands.

This seed places you on a high savanna plateau overlooking a canyon river, with another striking plateau on the other side. The river acts as a hotbed of activity here, with multiple ravines leading down into dark dungeons for explorers who want to battle skeletons and zombies, and a peaceful savanna village located on a cliffside by the lake that the river spills into. It's an inspiring array of scenery to begin your Minecraft explorations, especially if you're bold, enjoy traversing difficult terrain, and are immediately interested in delving into the depths below the surface.

Swamps have been among the least interesting biomes you can come across in a Minecraft world for many years. But with the release of the Wild Update, they finally got some love with the Mangrove Swamp sub-biome. With this seed you'll start on the coast of a colossal, sprawling Mangrove Swamp filled with trees, lilypads, water, and doubtless plenty of adorable little frogs, too.

The forboding Deep Dark, introduced to Minecraft's worlds with the 1.19 update, remains one of the most popular and intriguing biomes of the game, full of secrets to uncover and Ancient Cities to explore. This seed parks you right on the edge of a large Deep Dark biome which you can easily access from the idyllic (and apt) Dark Forest on the surface above.

Another seed which gives you easy access to the Deep Dark biome, here you're presented with the gorgeous vista of a snowcapped mountain range surrounded by forest. Delve deep, and you'll find yourself in the centre of a truly colossal Deep Dark biome filled with numerous Ancient Cities. Have fun exploring - just be wary of the Warden!

Rounding off our trilogy of Deep Dark seeds, this world gives you a great start thanks to a nearby taiga village, from which you can dive down into the ravine below. Keep going, and you'll soon start to see pockets of Deep Dark biome, followed by another majestic and ominous Ancient City dotted with lavafalls, chests filled with goodies, and mineshafts. It's a dangerous place down there.
