Subject: Suggestion on Amendment to Criminal Laws relating to Safty and Security of Women
To:
justic...@nic.in
Hon'able Committee members,
With reference to suggestions invited from Public of India, I would like to bring following points under your notice:
1) A turnaround time should be define for each activity during the investigation of case, defaulting of which reason should be asked and decide for subsequent performance of Police/Investigation agency accordingly.
2) There should be separate authority Viz. one who write/record statement of Victim and one who actually investigate the same. Investigation Agency can later talk to victim for further clarification, if required.
3) Define the number of Police-man/ Police-woman according to population density (say 1 Policeman per 100 person) and not according to area under Police Station. This wil increase chances of prevention of such crimes.
4) One who wishes to go for appeal against fast-court decision, can approach to fast track high courts only.
With this, I urge to consider suggestions provided by Common Public of India on a serious note.
Warm Regards
Vaibhav Garg
