This is an excellent idea
I'll have a go at this
and if i get enthused my messages will hopefully change to more
neopatwa content
(I've not yet started to learn it.

Still, this is my 1st effort
Please correct me:

I walked to the house
It was a little house,
but I was happy in it.

Mi kamina fo kasa.
Ta subi mini di kasa, (or?: kasa, ta subi mini)
tapi mi hapi fo ta.

"Mi kamina fo kasa", ta sta betul (correct).
"Ta subi mini di kasa", ta sta mini gwai (strange). ("Subi" is for the
passive. You are using "was" as a past, so it's probably not
necessary). "Ta sta mini di kasa" is fine, I think.
"Ta mi hapi fo ta," mi pensa betul.
