Hi all,

Looks like these are very early types of Burroughs nixies as they do not have the large anode shield usually found surrounding the digits
, and if you look carefully at the pictures you will see that there is a square mesh between the figures lower down and not only the round mesh at the top!

Nice spot Martin!  The shape of the glass envelope reminds me strongly of my HB-105 pixie, which I assume is also an early example (by virtue of the Haydu Brothers type code). The tube in the listing looks more domed than the B5092 shown on Jens' webpage, but that might just be an effect of the photography.

Hi guys,

this is an unmarked HB-106 Nixie tube, see here: http://www.jb-electronics.de/html/elektronik/nixies/n_hb106.htm?lang=en

Hi Jens,

Thanks for letting us know! I have never seen the square mesh before so I thought these were prototypes or pre-production Nixies. Looking closesly at the photos there are a few black marks on the outside of the glass that actually looks like some black residue from glue or something that could have held the stickers in yoru photos in place.
