I've run out of space to store my growing tube collection. Before I just buy another organizer, I thought it might be interesting to see how other people store their tubes. This is mine - I've purposefully left out the clutter on my work surface! I don't feel too bad about that though, the benches in my Uncle's workshop would provide an archaeologist with a fascinating glimpse of electronics from the 1950's to today.

Nice. I need a high voltage sign in my man cave too....great idea! I tend to store my tubes in larger closable boxes like these.

Or larger as the case may be (ha ha, pun intended...). They stack well and are sized for storage in cupboards etc...I tend to wrap some of them in bubble wrap if necessary...

Best place to store your tubes is in a clock.....

Tubes I like go into individual cardboard boxes, and packed snugly into a larger box.
Tubes I dont like (IN-1's)  are tossed carelessly into the junkbox where they await a horrible fate, such as a microwave oven  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYUMy0P560k

I also gave one to Beavis

I have to keep my tubes in boxes... no space in my room for storage they deserve.

I hope some day I will have enough room to have them all sorted, for now, I keep an excel file to keep track of what should be in this mess.

I like to get my tubes out and stick them in my 'one tube clock' - a testbed that has just about everything I have ever considered putting into an actual clock - it has three different types of current limiter deep in that rats nest for example. One day I will build an actual one tube clock I can plug different tubes into, just as soon as I have finished messing around with this one! It is at least running some actual software, so it does display the correct time in a pleasing way.
