Well, if his statement is true, then the 6802's are probably ok (?). Turn on an old piece of equipment, and your like going to blow the power supply. The electrolytics "deformed", and are dead shorts. I'm a member in an antique radio forum, and the mantra is re-cap before turning it on. That's what I've been telling Westdave over the last 3 months, as he's been buying up old scopes, to turn into scope clocks. Its also pretty rusty, so a good cleaning is in order. Lets just hope condensation didn't get under the tube bases.
