From which Russian book is this A108 Dekatron picture?

Hi all,

 

I've seen the picture in the attachement in Russian forums and at Decadecounter.com but I have so far not found a reference to what Russian book it comes from, does anyone know? The picture shows how to drive the A108 Russian Dekatron with a flip-flop configuration and also how to reset it and how to get a carry output from it. I have contacted a few Russian people who have used these Dekatrons but no one could help with the book title.

Looks more as it comes from the datasheet, that was generally added to the tubes.

Hi Eric,

 

Yes, that might be correct and the reason why I haven't found it in any of the Russian books I have been checking.

 

I'll ask in the Russian forums if that might be correct and ask if anyone have the original datasheets for the A-107, A-108 and A-109 (and possibly also the A-110).

That's great news ! Especially because there aren't very much known Russian data books.

Do you own the book or do you have an URL to download it? If that's the case, I would appreciate it to receive it.

Anyhow, your copy is appreciated highly, because dekatrons are an subject of special interest to me. Sadly my Russian does not allow me to read the text. I hope to be able to make an OCR of a quality that allows translation by Google, Babylon, or others.

When I need a quick translation from Russian, I use http://www.newocr.com/
which is a free online OCR service that supports many languages and
seems to deal well with the yellowed paper of these old Russian data
sheets. I then take the results and run them through one or more
translation engines - Google, Bing, etc.

If I need the translation refined, I'll either try to puzzle through
it myself or impose on one of my Russian-speaking friends to look at
the original document and the online translation and make corrections.
