Getters: where are they?

After watching the latest Fran Blanche video on YouTube

I started thinking about this subject.
Some Nixie tubes clearly have a getter while many don't (or at least not visible).
What's up with this? Do lots of Nixie tubes have "hidden" getters inside?
Dalibor is obviously using getters in his tubes (he even dedicated a few videos on the matter) but I've been inspecting different tubes and often don't see anything that resembles a getter.
