> hello, new to this forum, but guided here by john from the BJO forum....well this rather unusual jukebox has a bunch of GR43 switching thyratrons about 12, 3 nixie display tubes, one ZA 1000 tube and another space on the PCB for a CR32...i have googled this last one with no result...its been removed from the pcb but has the S,K,A,H markings, so assuming its another tube?
Welcome! I'm guessing the missing part is really a GR32.
> i have not got the schematic yet, but when i do hopefully things will become clearer,
The silkscreen calls out the functions of the thyratrons, which should help (the missing GR32 is marked "LÖSCH" and "RESET", and the others are "PIN SE..." and "MAGN", "..LATCH", etc.). Was it really removed, or was this a function that wasn't used in this version, and the parts for it were never installed in the first place? A quick look at the other side should show whether parts had been unsoldered there. I'm guessing the missing resistor and diode were associated with it.
The red discs are marked VDR, so they're voltage-dependent resistors. I don't know what the big rectangular metal objects are, but I'm guessing they're either relays or slide switches. Since I don't see actuators for them, and thyratrons are often used to energize relays, I'm guessing they're relays.
There are only a few dozen components on it, so it's possible to trace it out by hand.
> i will need it, as the power supply along with the 2 OA2 regulator tubes are completely missing, and been replaced with some horrible mess of bridge rectifiers and resisters hanging on connector blocks...with no sign of regulation!
That's pretty ugly, but you should be able to dope out what the power supply is supposed to produce, given the output of the current mess, and the fact that it has a couple of 0A2 regulators in it. But you're right, a schematic would make that ever so much easier.

I've tinkered with a few jukeboxes myself, but that's a new one on me, too. Let us know if there's something specific you'd like to know about.
