Hello.
I am about to test and the do something with a bunch of 5870S tubes, both ITT and Siemens.
From the datasheet I see there are two anode terminals, but there is no indication of a reason. Were they made to simplify wiring? Or to make the anode more stable? Should they always be connected together? Can one be let floating?
For a test I wired only one anode and all digits light up normally, so I'm puzzled.

Paolo,
The two anode terminals are there for ease of manufacturing. They are
connected together internally. You may use either one, depending on what
is easier for your board layout.
