Anybody have problems with the iso-propyl softening the solder mask? Is
there a specific dilution which works best?

Thanks,
Tom

Softening the solder mask?
I work in an electronic manufactoring company.. SMD/SMT dept. - we
regularly use iso-propyl for cleaning the PCBs before "screening" them
(screen printing with solder paste) if they have been handled wrong - e.g.
like fingers directly on solder pads..

I haven't seen any solder mask damage on the boards.. and we get boards from
almost any type and manufacturer you can imagnine.

When we need to reuse components we also clean them with iso to remove
solder paste before putting back into the Pick&Place machines..

Regards
Dan
