Hi all,

I received the newly made ZIN-18 tube yesterday. This was a project that began on kickstarter and being one of the first backers, I was curious and eager to support another artist working to keep nixies alive.

Here is a quick introduction and a more comprehensive video review I made of this new tube: https://neonkev.com/2019/05/25/video-new-manufacture-nixie-tube-review-zin18/

Thanks!

Nice tubes and test circuits.  I just finished a tiny B-5750 for hours and mins and used IN-2s for the seconds.  So tiny compared to the 18s!

The tough part about making IN-18's is that the existing supply of NOS has been able to satisfy demand, and sets of 6 tubes are often seen for around 250 USD.

Hopefully the next project will be a b7971 replacement.

Great video, Kevin! May I ask what video camera you use?

Best wishes
