I see this place has been mentioned here before but it was quite a few years ago.  Their offerings slowly rotate.  Many common/mundane, but occasionally interesting, items.

I've bought items from them before, the product is always good, but their prices are creeping up into the OMG range on a few items....

…and shipping costs are always a surprise as they don't calculate shipping at checkout, but rather select the shipping method at their discretion and charge your card without contacting you first. I’ve been shocked a few times when I saw the invoice!

I had a bulb similar to the NE42, except it had a standard Edison base and worked in a lamp socket. Oddly, no series resistor required; maybe it was hidden inside the base ?

It wasn't bright, but it was interesting to fire it up now and then......until an accident in the garage broke the bulb. Most of the neon devices are kept in steel ammo boxes now.

One manual I saw years ago indicated that Neons with Screw bases were
generally equipped with a built in resistor, and ones with Bayonet bases
were not.

I had both the neon and argon versions in standard bases. The resistor was inside the base (actually on one of the wire legs next to the evacuation nipple. The other end went to the pin (not screw) part of the base.
