If it goes on Ebay, bidding will likely go up to 1500 to 2000 USD. This is an enormous tube and very rare.

Absolutely stunning, thanks for sharing (and do let us know if you are ultimately planning on selling it)!

Controversial comment coming here.....ugly tubes! :) The aspect ratio of the digits is all wrong....but each to their own.....and I certainly wouldn't turn any down if someone was giving them away...lol.

Couldn't agree more :)
Bigger doesn't always mean prettier.
The digits look vertically stretched just to make them fit in the tube.
If you'd scale this down to the size of a more common tube I bet most of us would say it's an ugly tube :)
Impressive? Yes! Pretty? No!
But like you, I would sure want one just for the impressive size alone!

I spent 45 years in design of one sort or another, from model-making for museums, films and the telly, architecture, interior design, museum and permanent exhibition design to graphic design and advertising. I don't suppose my opinion counts for anything, however I really like the compressed digit shapes of the CD47, possibly because they are so unique. Having inspected a set of these tubes close up, I still like the look of them. Would I ever want some? No, they are far too large for a domestic interior. I think Dalibor's tubes are the ideal maximum size.

TOO LARGE, say what?  This reminds of the doinks at Best Buy or somewhere, when you're looking at a TV and they ask well, how big is the room?  Which is of course irrelevant.  Will it physically fit into the room?  Then it isn't too big!

Chuckle.

I'm looking forward to a six tube clock with the monsters that Dalibor is now working on....!

This.

Plus, the CD47 might look fuggly in photos, but once it is in front of you and lit up, it is a whole different kettle of fish.

Haha, quite so.  Maybe we are related!  While I've never seen a tube anywhere close to this big, I'd love to have some.  If anyone doesn't want theirs, please feel free to send it to me!  Kind of like those swimwear models.  I might say Cintia Dicker is too skinny, but if she wanted to come over to the house, she's welcome any time...

So you want to stare at a nixie clock all day and admire how big its digits are? Surely you should get out more? Oh, I forgot, we can't, can we?

Haha, no I want two of each, just like everything!  Or more.  Unfortunately I really only discovered nixies a year or so ago.  So far mostly Russian stuff, some IN-1, IN-9, IN-13, IN-12/15, and 100 of the little fellers, IN-17.  Have a cool old calibration unit with 4 Burroughs tubes, and an older Ortec NIM counter unit with I think 6 or 7 miniature US-made nixies in it for the display.  Yes, I may have a problem...  You should see my Geiger counter collection.  And I did just acquire a metal shaper, which many would say is completely obsolete.  Still works great though, and fun to play with.  It goes well with my 1950s Sheldon metal lathe and South Bend vertical mill.

Whaddaya mean we can't get out?  I've eaten lunch at three restaurants this week, and went to theater to see Goldfinger a few weeks ago.  Went shooting on Sunday.  But then I do live in TX.  Went to WDW for Labor Day weekend too.

I agree. It's hard to get faithful photos of the CD47. Maybe because it's large and thus more 3D than most Nixie tubes.

In person they do not look weird at all. The digits are very well shaped; a unique and attractive "font". They are gorgeous and gigantic.

I share again the positive leap second photo:
