Lately I have been attempting to compile a list of all known nixie driver ICs
ever made.   After naming off all of the usual ones which include 7441, 74141, 74142,
Russian 74141 equivalent called KD155D1, and Signetics 8T01, there are several more
that pop up randomly in searches.   One type not often mentioned is a high voltage
logic variety (HLL) that runs on 10.8 to 20 volts.   It is called H158.

Then there are others such as Fairchild F996079.

But here is one I never heard of until now:

Anybody ever hear anything about this one?    How can a datasheet for it
ever possibly be found?     Thanks.   Chuck

I wonder if it's similar to the DD700, which was made by Sperry for their 7-segment displays. I actually have 1 of these my father got as a sample years ago, but never used it.

I have a 3 inch thick binder full of numeric displays and drivers from 1970-71.
It has an astounding variety of obsolete Nixie and incandescent display driver chips and modules.
Most of these are either little circuit boards or boxy DIP modules.

Thanks Greg and David.   I am sort of tempted to try a few of those HLL logic type H158 chips, because they have an identical pinout to the 8T01,
but these HLL ones run at 10.8 to 20 volts, not the usual 5 volts.    I am not, however, up for trying any that datasheets cannot be located for.
Anyone have any idea about similarities and/or differences between genuine U.S. made 74141 and the Russian K155 versions?   I know they are
pin for pin compatible and work the same way, but I heard there are a few subtle differences.   Any ideas on that?  Thanks.   -Chuck

I have several of the DD700.  They were used in several DR20X0 tube drivers.  Overkill

I was wondering how many nixie driver modules exist like smartsockets and exixe

On the topic of weird driver ICs, take a look at the 230IK1 ICs. They have quite the unique construction.

Oops, forgot the link:

^ this site has some info about this family of ICs. I have a few I got a while back that I've been waiting on trying to put into some project.
