IV-17 Smartsockets including 4Play word ladder routine

I've updated the files section of the Smartsockets group to include the IV-17/IV-4 Smartsocket code, a freely distributable .hex file to program a pic 18F26k22

The code drives four tubes, multiplexed via an HV driver IC and each tube is addressable via serial instructions. There are over 20 digit transition effects built in.

Just added, is a 4Play (like four letter word) routine. Just sending the command 4Play*On to the serial port starts a word ladder routine. The amount of time each word is held for before changing is programmable, as are the number of letters which should be changed each cycle. There are about 3500 words, including 19 profane words.

I can't seem to access the old Yahoo group, I need the build instructions and schematic for the 4play ladder.

Years ago I purchased a pre-programmed pic 18F26k22 with 4play and a encoder but I don't know how to add it to the IV-17 Smartsocket board.

Can someone please send me the files or point me in the right direction?

I migrated the Smartsocket group to https://groups.io/g/smartsockets about a year ago. Please rejoin there, as Yahoo no longer hold any project files and that Yahoo group is defunct. If the files you are after were in the old group, then they should be accessible through the new one.

Smartsockets are very much alive, with some neon and addressable-LED versions of a Victorian segmented display idea being worked on, as we speak.
