Hi

I am new to this group. and i rely like the polite and kind conversations.

I bought some Burroughs 8037 / B-5031 nixies.
But i have problem with all of them. They dont light up as they should.

I connect 170 volt via a 10k resistor to pin 2 and ground one off the numerals, and then the wire on the side of the nixie lights up.

is this some kind of severe "Cathode Poisoning", or am i doing something wrong ?

Regards
- Hansi

Maybe you have the polarity backwards? Switch the positive and negative leads.

I've seen this before, but I cannot remember the solution.
