Well, it's interesting, to say the least...

That is really a cool and interesting item. For use here in the states, it would have to be converted to 120v  """60HZ"""   If the time keeping is being done via a synchronous motor, as appears to be suggested by the seller, the motor would have to be changed to 60 HZ motor for accurate time keeping.

Good luck finding that motor. The old electric clocks on our stove went bad decades ago. Disposable ages ago.

OTOH, there's probably some guy on YouTube who replaced the entire mechanism with something he built with a 3D printer and a solderless breadboard. Whole thing runs off of a 18650.

I guess that anything is possible. I will NOT be the one finding out.

Somewhere I have a neon digital clock, 7 segment, 2 inch display made of individual neon bulbs.
This is run from cams and switches driven by a synchronous motor.
It has a 50/60 hz switch which changes gears inside.
There was also a (junk) 240 to 110 transformer inside.
Could be an easy fix for someone.

Hello Andy,

I read your recent message about the mechanical neon clock you have. I’ve seen something like this
awhile ago but I can’t remember a lot of the details or appearance of it.
Would you be considering selling this? As a member of the Neonixie group, I am just crazy enough
to attempt a repair out of curiosity and thrill of conquest!. Please advise at your convenience.

Thanks in advance,
Rich
