All,

I got my scope clock to work, and put it in a clear acrylic case. The
FLW is not coded yet, and there's no GPS, but the DS1307 battery-backed
RTC keeps time well enough for now. I basically transliterated the
'HC908 code into Arduino C and added RTC support.

The new pictures have 'plex' in the filenames. I'll make a real web page
when I take some real photos.

The PC board has about a dozen hiccups, which I'm already repairing for
revision B. Some of them are signal integrity. It's tricky to do a
mixed-signal board layout with such constraints as knob placement and
the big hole for the CRT.

I had a guy suggest that I add a couple Atari joystick ports in the back
so it can be made to play Asteroids. I like that idea a lot. I'll also
be installing a USB jack in back so it can be connected to a computer to
display whatever the computer tells it to display. Also, a stereo 3.5mm
jack for audio, to be a stereo visualizer.

Pretty versatile, this one is. The knobs are very helpful.

I expect to offer it as a product soon. I still need to work out the
price. I may offer it as a partial kit with the SMT assembly done, or as
a finished product in a case. I do plan to publish the code and most of
the design files.

Hi David

That is a neat bit of design

I'd be up for a partial kit.

Cheers

Yes, please offer a partial kit, a bare PCB, and a completed PCB.
Simply Awesome.

Please! At least an assembled and tested unit. I want one of your
clocks so badly but zero extra time to spare right now.

Please have pity on my wallet :-) Could I trade you an induction
heater? :-)

Thanks,
John

Not only Asteroides... You could also add Lunar Lander and Star Trek too! I loved those three vector based games :)

Just curious - How much peak-to-peak voltage is required on the deflection plates to generate the display you have pictured ?

BTW, if you have a sign-up sheet for a kit, count me in. I *must* have one of these!

I am rather busy getting Nixie watches produced since that Techmoan
video came out.

I hope to get back into the scope clock project in the summer.
