Odd they are priced so high; maybe a rare tube?
IN-18's are 10mm taller (40mm) and list for around 50 USD each.

Hi!
No, these are not so rare compared to others.
I collected about 30 pcs. of these and built the Nixie Queen Clock R (R = red) with them.
OK, these was some years ago, but there are other Nixie Tubes more rare than these.

They aren't worth that much though... even being rare to a decent degree. Don't these tubes also have shorter lives? Maybe I'm thinking of their brother?
