Where did 2GB disappear (32-30=2GB) - is it full of viruses, trojans or more sinister malware? 😉

Or will it fry your computer like more sinister USB-units?

Probably just the Bitcoin (crypto) stealing software or Crypto locker. Nothing to worry about here. :)

Just ordered one. Will let you guys know about the malware. Of course, I will be trying to take it apart to see how it all works, as I did something similar recently. https://youtu.be/ofePAvFkGZs

Maybe its just honest what you get. Usually drives are smaller than advertised. Alot of people use 1Gb = 1000Mb, but in reality its 1024 Mb! And then there is space for the filesystem reserves. I ordered a 6TB HDD last week which is ony 5.4 TB in reality (i knew that, its very common)

It’s running the Nixie 0-9 program. 🤣

Change "a lot of people" to include "and every drive manufacturer for decades" and you've nailed it.

That is pretty neat.  I wonder if it would be possible to make one even smaller?

Heh. Has everyone seen the other version?

What's really cool about these is that there's a 50/50 chance that the numeral will be visible when it's plugged in.

The USB licensing group requires that connectors must be oriented so the USB logo on the cable "faces the user". However, this is nearly-universally ignored. It took many generations to finally come up with a connector that plugs in either way, but unfortunately that spec throws in the kitchen sync (hah!) as well. Too bad they didn't learn from SCSI, where everyone got fed up and decided to use SCSI commands over a SATA connector.

The Amazon version also shows the "5" being an upside down-flipped "2".
