from making it up and testing it.

Has anyone actually used one of these in anger in place of an LM9022?

As I'm making up 3 of those VFD about clocks at the moment, I might give a LM4871 a go (although I have enough LM9022s)... I've done a full Farnell BOM for all the bits... a few of the original parts are no longer manufactured, so I've selected replacements (e.g. for the LM9022)
