Hello everyone,

I have an XM1000 that came with a box, and I was wondering if anyone has ever seen an XM1000 packaged this way.
The XM1000 itself appears to be genuine, but I'm not sure about the box. I'm curious whether this could be an original packaging variant or if the box might be a reproduction or fake.
If anyone has any information, photos, or examples for comparison, I'd really appreciate your help.
Thank you!

Sebastian

Hello,

this is jan from askjanfirst.com

box looks pretty genuine, the hand-applied stamp was common at Telefunken when they boxed little quantities only. They had racks full of stamps for this.

Even the wrap paper looks good.

Well possible you got a pre-series one that had been packed by hand

The reproduced boxes often use a glossy print. Quite easy to distinguish from the original ones.

Hi Jan,
thanks for the info! Can you also resolve the date code?

Does not look like a TFK datecode at all, assume it is a fantasy number.... no joke.

Hi Jan,
Thanks for your reply. I think I've found the answer. It seems the date code was changed starting in 1958. If I'm reading the table correctly, the tube was manufactured on December 16, 1968, in the 00 series.
