Blast from the Past

I was sorting out my office and came across TWO ORIGINAL RAY WEISLING FOUR LETTER WORD KITS. I ordered them years ago, but during the wait of more than a year before he shipped them (old timers here will remember that frustration) I had lost patience and designed my own. I thought about putting them on Ebay, but then I figured everyone who could possibly want them is on here. So I'm offering them here, I'll sell them for the best offer I get by Friday August 4th. The two kits are in their original packing, together in one box, so you have to take them both.

There's a story about how I got them. I got so frustrated with Ray ignoring me that I asked someone from the Malaysian government to have a word with him. The kits arrived a few days later, posted from Los Angeles! But by that time I didn't need them.

I actually received my Geekclock kit from Ray, but he never sent the "accessory kit". That was only a $35.00 loss for me - many folks lost a lot more money. There were months of emailed  excuses, then it all just stopped. It's too bad, because I think Ray was one of the founders of this group, and his kits were very nice.

This was back when the B-7971 tubes were ~$25.00, and one supplier would just kind of throw them all into a box for shipment. I had one arrive broken, but fortunately the others were all functional.
